The FIFA World Cup™ 2010 was the first ever to be held on the African continent. The name and design of the official match ball paid tribute to the host nation: Jabulani means ‘to celebrate’ in the South African language isiZulu.Regarding technology, this ball featured eight thermally bonded 3D panels which were spherically molded to create a nearly perfect sphere.

    There was a golden version for the final match which was called Jo’bulani and represents a mix of Jabulani and Johannesburg, the venue of the final.
