+Teamgeist
This was the Official Match Ball of the FIFA World Cup™ 2006 in Germany.
DISCOVER
The key to the unique characteristics of the new match ball was the revolutionary 14 panel construction. This innovative configuration reduced the number of contact points to three per panel which was a 60% reduction from traditional balls. A full underglass print protects the surface from wear and tear.
Furthermore, a new carcass was used which optimized precision and power transfer. This new Thermal Bonding Technique, which replaced stitching, was used to manufacture the +Teamgeist. This technique creates a smooth, regular contact surface for shooting.
HIGHLIGHTS
As the official ball for the FIFA World Cup™ held in Germany, the +Teamgeist is mainly designed in black and white with golden elements inspired by the golden FIFA World Cup™ trophy. The name of the ball, meaning team spirit, clearly states the inspiration for the ball.
For the first time in history did the final match ball get a special design - the +Teamgeist Berlin was a golden version of the +Teamgeist.
