This was the Official Match Ball of the FIFA World Cup™ 1974 in West Germany.
DISCOVER
The '74 balls differed from those of 1970 in that they were covered with a durlast coating, a Polyutherane (PU) layer to protect the ball from water absorption. This ball kept weight and quality during bad weather conditions.
HIGHLIGHTS
The 1974 World Cup was the first time balls no longer had to be anonymous. FIFA gave permission for them to carry names and logos. At the 1970 World Cup only the training balls carried a name and the manufacturer’s logo.
